Inventory
Olympia Moving and Storage will complete an inventory for all incoming storage. This inventory acts as both a receipt for your goods and a condition report. Customers should provide serial numbers for stereos, televisions, computers and all other electronic items. The completed inventory must be signed by the owner of the items or by a designated individual.
When storing items at Olympia Moving & Storage, it is very important to make certain that your items are properly covered for loss or damage. The storage depositor must select one of the following two options. In the event that the storage depositor does not select one of these options, Olympia's maximum liability is 60 cents per pound per article, with a maximum liability of $2,000 for all stored goods combined.
Liability programs
Option 1: For an additional monthly charge, Olympia Moving & Storage offers Replacement Value Liability coverage (recommended). This option covers your shipment for either (a) the cost of reasonably restoring the property to the condition immediately prior to the move or (b) the actual cash value of the property immediately prior to the move into storage.
Option 2: As a licensed Warehousemen in Massachusetts and Virginia, our maximum liability is 60 cents per pound per article. In the event of loss or damage under this option, an article weighing 10 lbs. would be covered for $6.00. This coverage is provided at no additional charge.
